Is an online format available for the Business major or elective courses?
Yes. Wisconsin Lutheran College now offers online classes in our interactive learning environment providing you the opportunity to complete your degree from anywhere in the world.
What are the advantages of the business accelerated degree completion program?
The accelerated degree completion bachelor’s in business program provides you with quality and relevant instruction designed to develop strong leaders of moral character for future careers within the business setting. The business degree is convenient for working students because we offer an accelerated format and classes during the evening, on campus or online. Students are made aware of their full schedule for the business degree in advance and are taught by quality Wisconsin Lutheran College instructors and active business practitioners with valuable knowledge of management and leadership concepts.
How does the accelerated program differ from traditional education?
Classes for the accelerated degree completion program are offered either online or one evening on campus per week for working students. Classes held on campus meet for a total of four hours per evening. Each course within the program is 4-6 weeks in length. All courses are offered year-round within the program. The degree may be completed in 20 months.
Is this a real degree?
Absolutely! You will earn an accredited ‘bachelor of arts’ or ‘bachelor of science’ degree upon completion. Wisconsin Lutheran College and the accelerated degree completion program are regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of North Central Association (NCA).The curriculum for the accelerated degree completion program is based upon many of the same learning objectives as the traditional undergraduate program.
Can I really complete my degree in less than two years?
Yes, you are eligible to transfer 80 credits into the accelerated degree completion program and may complete your degree within 20 months. If you enroll with less than 80 transfer credits, you can also complete the degree in 20 months by taking additional credits through WLC or another institution while you are enrolled. You may also achieve credits for lifetime learning to meet graduation requirements.
Who teaches the classes?
You will learn from both qualified and experienced Wisconsin Lutheran College faculty members and professional business practitioners with corporate and private business backgrounds.

Accelerated Degree Completion Program Requirements
If I’ve taken a similar course as one in the accelerated degree completion program, will I have to take it again?
In general, you must complete all courses in the 48-credit business management and leadership major. However, special circumstances may warrant exceptions and should be discussed with your personal enrollment advisor. The accelerated degree completion program courses are designed to build on one another, continually developing your understanding of course material and business management.
Will I be able to complete or enroll in more than once class at a time?
Classes in the degree completion program are offered one course at a time in an accelerated format. You may choose to enroll in elective courses at WLC or another institution of your choice to meet general education requirements. All classes are 4-6 weeks in length.
What are the grading and GPA requirements for each course and graduation?
All passing grades receive credit, but you must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 (C) in all elective courses and 2.5 (BC) in all business management and leadership major courses.

The accelerated degree completion program is designed to provide you the knowledge and characteristics to succeed in management and leadership positions. Courses and learning activities in the accelerated degree completion program have been developed to instill competencies and characteristics that are in high demand by employers.
Are there academic services available to business degree completion students?
WLC’s Academic Success Center is available to you and provides academic coaching, individualized tutoring help, and opportunities to participate in small learning groups. You can also receive guidance in individualized student strategies to benefit your unique learning style.
Are career and job placement services a resource of the business degree program?
You will have access to the career services department on campus, which includes career advising, counseling, job search and networking guidance. Wisconsin Lutheran College does not offer specific job placement services at this time.
Will business degree completion students have access to campus technology and library services?
Yes! You will have full access to our library services and vast academic library, including various print and online academic publications and journals. You will also be provided access to our inter-library consortium with full access to all library materials. You will have access to our internal campus learning system and will retain a campus email account. The library offers access to various computer workstations, and a laptop cart will be available during each class period for students wishing to utilize a computer during on-campus classes.
