Hybrid

Master of Arts in Education – Transition to Teaching

Make a positive impact on the world by earning your teaching license

The hybrid Master of Arts in Education – Transition to Teaching degree program, with 6 courses online and 6 in person, was created for those who want to transition from a different career or degree to earn their teaching license. Designed with flexibility, affordability, and a biblical worldview, this program will prepare the next wave of teachers to be inspiring, just and knowledgeable classroom leaders.

There are four desired licensure levels, each with its own set of requirements: early childhood, elementary, secondary, and wide-range. For those who want to teach a specific subject at the secondary and wide-range levels, such as history, biology, or English, further courses may be required if you do not have an undergraduate degree in that subject. Courses are offered on an eight-week basis.

We are ranked tenth in TheBestSchools.org’s list of the 30 Best Online Master’s in Secondary Education Programs.

Graduates will be:

  • Licensed to teach in their chosen field
  • Prepared to lead a classroom through the lens of servant leadership
  • Able to make a difference in the lives of their students
